One major benefit to outdoor furniture made of metal is its durability, especially compared to wood. Wooden outdoor furniture can be beautiful but even when the surface is carefully treated, it will break down over time as its exposed to water and even sunlight. Wood can also crack and break if not treated delicately. Metal furniture can be very durable and impervious to environmental damage as long as the metal is adequately painted or otherwise finished.
